Eric St-Pierre
About Eric St-Pierre

Elected in 2025 after a campaign fueled by deep motivation and a close connection with citizens, Eric St-Pierre is proud to represent Honoré-Mercier in the House of Commons. A devoted husband, father of two young daughters, and passionate ultramarathon runner, he brings to politics the same endurance, authenticity, and community spirit that have guided his entire life.

Born in a Northern Ontario mining town to a working-class family, Eric grew up with a deep sense of solidarity and duty to contribute to the common good. He has called Montreal home for more than 25 years and has dedicated himself to serving its people. A graduate of Concordia University and McGill Law, he founded his own practice where he defended tenants facing eviction and worked on cases involving Indigenous rights.

He then went on to serve for nearly ten years as the founding Executive Director of the Trottier Family Foundation. In this role, he led some of the country’s most significant philanthropic initiatives in environment, health, and social justice. Under his leadership, millions of dollars were invested to build stronger, more resilient communities, including through the Montreal Climate Partnership. His pioneering work in climate finance earned him recognition from the National Observer as part of a Liberal “Green Dream Team” led by Mark Carney.

He chose to enter politics out of conviction that Canada needed leaders ready to defend its sovereignty, protect essential public services, and build a strong, sustainable economy, at a pivotal moment in our history marked by new economic and geopolitical pressures. Guided by this vision, he launched into a high-energy grassroots campaign, convinced that the 2025 election was the most important of our generation. His election reflected the trust that the people of Honoré-Mercier placed in him to carry their voice to Ottawa.

Since then, Eric has worked relentlessly and with pride to advance the priorities of families in his riding: tackling the cost of living, strengthening public safety, creating good jobs, ensuring access to housing, protecting the environment and safeguarding strong public services. Proud of his Franco-Ontarian and Quebec roots and deeply attached to his Canadian identity, he believes unity and resilience are the keys to a prosperous future. Alongside Mark Carney and the Liberal team, he puts all his energy into one clear goal: building Canada Strong.

When he is not in Ottawa or meeting with constituents, Eric can often be found running marathons and ultramarathons, testing his endurance on roads and trails. A lifelong hockey fan, he is also a proud supporter of the Montreal Canadiens — cheering with the same passion he brings to representing Honoré-Mercier.
